Music Ideas and examples of animation sounds

I have looked at Sound Clouds and theICD student server and researched on the sounds that pandas make when eating talking act.
Found this website where it is recored at the moment. I will be trying to find sounds that are similar to it to have it right out there.

http://www.soundboard.com/sb/Panda_Sounds

I really enjoy the music for this animation where there isnt any other sounds to it apart from the nice peaceful and sad music to it where music help tells the story.

From this short animation, the sound effects and music links and works really well together.
Like Chiruri (above animation) the music is in the background, but at the same time, there are sound effects of the movements that are occurring which makes it more understandable to see.

Background Images/Still Background & Coloured Images

First scene, peaceful and too neat to be perfect.
Scene background for 2 and 4.
This background will show movement in the forest when events are occuring.
Road for mother panda to run towards the viewer. Ruff and untidy.

Scene 5. Having nothing as a surrounding apart from the grass/bamboos and ground as background. Nothing else to make the viewer to lose focus.
It is similar to scene one, but i had made it more rockier where it shows out the bad non-perfect sight.

This background with the metal bar cage is for scene number 7.The idea for this is to have the baby to start moving / walking forward to the new environment.
I had changed it with an coloured background to the bars to show abit more than just plan white.

Scene 8 and 9. 8 will be a close up on the bar cage and than it slowly pan out to the whole scene.

Having a dark/dull background for scene 10-11

For scene 12, I have used the same background as scene 7 but close up.

Drawen Imagery For animation

New Stroryboard Done

Animated Theme I want to go with and Drawings

I really like the Snoopy character animations / idea of being animated. How it is like a drawen image being ontop of the background. Having the idea of simple and clear colours where simple linings are there which make us know what area or place they are in.

A clear example in a video I would like to try to do is the starting of the beginning cartoon and middle part.

Exploring Fonts

With the starting of the rhyme, I got out of it was a happy peaceful day/time.
The idea of font that can be on will be nice and fancy or clear bold / soft.
A Yummy Apology
Curly Fonts > A yummy Apology Font

Little Lord Font Leroy
Curly Fonts > Little Lord Font Leroy Font

The next phrase gives a horror, a protective and danger feeling. where the text will be bold, sharp.

Char
                                                             Fire Fonts > Char Font

Fonts are all from 1001 Free Fonts ( http://www.1001freefonts.com )

Background Ideas and color scheme

I I like part of an idea on how the traditional animation works. Having a fixed background and having the images moving in front of the background

With the first scene, having something like this in the back ground where we can see it is in the forest in a natural environment.

Colour Scheme

The idea of bold and having it maybe dark outline for the animation will work out really well for my character and the surroundings.

Ideas and images where I got inspired by

Family having connection being parted because one protects one another. (mother to her baby)

When doing my storyboard, I thought of the main national animal of my background the panda. than later on got told that Kung Fu Panda being related to my theme.

Other panda images I searched which is out there. where i can have an idea where to go with my type and style.

Storyboard Idea Two

The storyboard images goes down the page.

The idea of this storyboard is where a mother protected her baby from danger where leads her to a sad death/ or illness.

Story goes where pandas are in it natural habitat where a mother and her cub eating bamboos. Life was simple. As all mothers do, they have very strong seance of danger when it comes to being around the cub. Where a ...... gun is pointed towards them, panda mother goes towards the ..... gun and she got shot and slowly moving down the floor and sleep and the baby cub scared running away. (maybe the mother eyes are still slowly moving down to close, might see the cub running away or seeing the caged door being closed. )
Having the hunters put the mother in the cage where its dark. When mother woke up, surrounding is different and there is bars. Terrified and sad, she noticed that she is away from home and her baby where she is at a place called the zoo. Days go by where she doesn't eat and just sitting there. Bamboos are left on the floor for her to have but doesn't nudge. Which later on, the mother panda slowly lies down to the ground and sadly past away.

Story Board One Idea

The storyboard images goes down the page.

A normal life for a girl/women goes shopping.

The idea behind this rhyme to my story is where a girl goes out shopping wanting to buy something to cheer herself up. As always, products will always need to hook women in to look and buy things. Walking past the simple things that is out there like 'Specials' and 'Shoes'.  *Linking to the rhyme line (Little Miss Muffit) LIttle Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider. - having heard some noise  which lighten up her which she turned right around to see a cute puppy face.
Who sat down beside her - after awhile, she looked for the price for this puppy that she feel in love with where this she sees in close up on the price.
And frightened Miss Muffet away - Looks really depressed and sad with the idea of money is a trouble. Having to leaving, she moved sadly away the window and continued on walking the street.

Meanings I got from each line

I picked three rhyme that I felt that I can work with really well. Am still deciding which one to do.

meaning and ideas behind the rhymes

Humpty Dumpty
Meanings behind the rhyme - In the English Civil War, a new type of cannon was used but only to be shatter when first lit. Knowing that the horses would be called back upon to the soldiers as a military weapon back together

A Castle and several churches was protected by the city wall in the town of Colchester. Having St Mary's Church standing adjacent to the city wall where a huge cannon colloquially called Humpty Dumpty was strategically placed on the wall next to St Mary's Church.
Having a shot with the cannon where it succeeded in damaging the wall beneath Humpty Dumpty which caused the cannon to tumble to the ground.

-Something valuable for the country or person where it is displayed for everyone to see but was broken into and taken away.

Little Miss Muffet

Meanings behind the rhyme - Little Miss Muffet and the spider symbolize Mary, Queen of Scots (1542-1587) and John Knox (1505-1572) a minister who wanted to scarer her off the throne due to religious differences.

-Dont see eye to eye.
-Having the same goal (working together), one see's differently (surprised/dislike) and left

Jack and Jill
The nursery rhyme relates to the execution of the King and Queen of France. Jack and Jill went up the hill and having the steps to the Guillotine represented the hill, Jack (King Louis) was the first to be beheaded, and lost his crown then Jill (Marie Antonette's head) came tumbling after.

-Going somewhere together where its their goal to achieve. Unexpected dump hit them and separated them. Life afterwards wasn't working for both or one continue on with the goal and succeed.

Visual mediums and Styles that could be used for animation.

Having looking at the animation 'Snoopy' simple and kinda sketchy. Thinking of the background would be simple and bright/bold. Not fully detailed but able to see lines which forms the form in the viewers mind.

Different ways of animating.

 Traditional animation
(Also called classical animation, cel animation, or hand-drawn animation) is an animation technique where it consist each single frame to be hand drawn, including the background. Having one technique stood out the most for easy movement is called cel technique. This involves a technique where the image of the animated ink drawings transferred directly to a clear piece of celluloid. When animating moving objects on transparent celluloid sheets which were then placed over a fixed background image and then being photographed to generate the sequence of images.
Stop Motion
Stop motion or stop-action, an object is slightly moved (object animation), then photographed, one frame at a time.  There are other variations of stop motion techniques: go motion, stereoscopic, and CGI stop motion.
Go motion was created in order to give a more realistic movement to the object(s) in the frame. Since each object that you are shooting using the stop motion, it is in crisp clear focus within each frame, go motion provided the necessary effect to make a subject’s movement more life-like by creating motion blur. When shooting go motion, the subject, while being recorded, is moved. This creates motion blur. Although there are now multiple ways to make a subject move while it’s being recorded, one way to move and control the object is to use Rods.

CGI(Computer Generated Images)/Nowadays computer animation
CGI (Computer Generated Images) started around the early seventies with computer technology and software improves. Nowadays, many animation cartoon and films are created with computer. It is essentially a digital descendant to the stop motion technique. Computer generated animations are more controllable than other physically based processes and becomes increasingly more realistic. Anything to do with animations is generated and manipulated with the computer (computer processed work/Computer Generated Image), having movement formed, a main image is placed than having one frame at a time on top. Each frame, after manipulation, must be rendered

ideas/themes for each nursery rhyme.
